In Caribbean Stud Poker, the players play against the dealer. It’s a very popular casino game and the rules of the game are similar to that of five-card stud.
After the player antes, each is dealt 5 cards, with the dealer’s first card face-up. Based on the player’s hand and the dealer’s face-up card, the player then decides whether to fold, forfeiting the bet; or to call, doubling the bet.
Then there is a showdown in which all the players reveal their cards. If the dealer doesn’t have an Ace-King or better, the player gets the bet back. If the bank does have an Ace-King or better, the player’s hand wins if it beats the banks, with the following payouts:
- Royal Flush: 100 to 1.
- Straight Flush: 50 to 1.
- Four-of-a-Kind: 20 to 1.
- Full House: 7 to 1.
- Flush: 5 to 1.
- Straight: 4 to 1.
- Three-of-a-Kind: 3 to 1.
- Two Pairs: 2 to 1.
- One Pair of High Card: 1 to 1.
