How to Win the WSOP Main Event

Dream of being the next Doyle Brunson, Chris Moneymaker, Joe Cada or Greg Merson? If you’re serious about giving it your best shot, you should follow this plan and your dream of winning the most prestigious tournament on at the 2014 World’s Series of Poker just might come true.

This is a one to two year plan of intensive studying, self analysis, physical and mental conditioning that will no doubt will test your very heart and soul.

You didn’t think it was going to be easy did you? But you can claim a free poker bonus to give your bankroll a boost.

Step One: Becoming A World Class Player

Buy the following poker books and get ready for some serious studying.

Super System 2: A Course in Power Poker by Doyle Brunson
Secrets of Professional Tournament Poker, Volume 1 by Jonathon Little
Championship No-Limit & Pot-Limit Hold’em by Tom McEvoy and T.J. Cloutier

Do you really want to spend the next twenty years of your life learning what the old-time tournament pro’s like Doyle Brunson and T.J Cloutier already know? By reading their books you will acquire a life-time of poker knowledge and strategy in a very short period of time.

Step Two: Are You Experienced To Play Deep Stacked Poker Tourneys?

Start playing as many online no-limit Hold’em tournaments (online/live) as possible. As a beginner you will inevitably make mistakes but you will learn from them. Nothing can take the place of experience when it comes to improving your no-limit Hold’em game.

After studying poker books you’ll need to spend a great amount of time at the tables to bring all that poker theory you have learned together.

You might even win enough money at the real money tables to enter The World Series of Poker main event and finance your whole trip! But if that doesn’t happen for you, you can always try and satellite your way into it.

Keep in mind you need to know how to play short-handed and heads-up games so that you are properly prepared for when you make the final table of a tournament.

Step Three: Do You Truly Believe That You Can Win The WSOP ME?

Positive thinking and having the right attitude is essential to your overall strategy of winning a WSOP Main Event. You must truly believe you can actually take down the tournament or it will never happen. Any professional sports athlete will tell you the mind game is 80% or more of the battle.

Use the wisdom of others to help yourself. My favorites are motivational speakers like Tony Robbins who once said “Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy”. Start with his ground-breaking “Awaken The Giant Within”.

Step Four: Get In Good Physical Shape

I believe a good body is a good mind. If you drink excessively, take recreational drugs, abuse prescription drugs, etc stop it all. Your mind MUST be as clear as possible. If you’re overweight, visit your doctor and start a sensible diet and exercise/weight training program.

Even though Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymer still became world champions, what we’re trying to teach is how to maximize your chances of winning the WSOP main event. And even if you’re not overweight, striving to improve your physical health and well-being can only help your overall no-limit hold’em game.

Strongly consider taking natural herbal supplements to feed your brain and help calm your nerves. All natural herbal supplements have greatly improved my concentration at the poker tables. Give yourself every possible edge over your less disciplined opponents.

Step Five: Play Satellites to Win a Seat into the World Series of Poker

If you want to play the most famous tournament in poker, all you have to do is to enter one of the many WSOP satellites online because lets face it not every person get afford to put up the $10k buy-in. Market leading online poker rooms like PokerStars and 888Poker, send thousands of players to the WSOP each and every year through WSOP poker satellite qualifiers.

The 2014 World Series Of Poker next summer is expected to attract thousands of the world’s best poker players, and plenty of dreamers hoping to obtain the title of being the next “World Poker Champion”. I’ve given you the plan to achieve that title, now the rest is up to you.
