This variant of poker is popular because it offers two games in one, and the player can choose to bet on either or both of them.
Pair Plus: In this game, the player simply bets on the value of the three cards dealt. Payoffs are as follows:
- Straight Flush: 40 to 1.
- Three-of-a-Kind: 30 to 1.
- Straight: 6 to 1.
- Flush: 4 to 1.
- Pair: 1 to 1.
Ante and Play: In this game, after anteing and receiving and looking at the hand, the player may either fold, losing the ante and any Pair Plus bet that was made, or play against the dealer, who must have at least a Queen high to compete. Possible wins are:
- Dealer doesn’t qualify: 1 to 1.
- Straight Flush: 5 to 1.
- Three-of-a-Kind: 4 to 1.
- Straight: 1 to 1.
