In poker, a “suckout” is when a strong hand loses to a weak hand that had very little chance of winning. Also known as a “bad beat“.
EXAMPLE “I had a terrible online poker session yesterday, it was suckout after suckout so I just quit the game.”
A suckout, and then a re-suckout can also occur, and that’s when you get sucked out on, and then suckout yourself to win the pot.
