Pocket Pair

To have two of the same hole cards. For example, in hold’em if you are dealt two 88s, this is a pocket pair. Small pocket pairs are usually defined as 22 to 77. Medium pairs are usually defined as 88 to JJ. Big pocket pairs are usually defined as QQ to AA.

EXAMPLE ” Set mining with small pocket pairs can be extremely profitable.”
